Therapy with Gabby

Being a human is hard, and life has no shortage of ways to make you feel unsure, misunderstood, and confused.
The best way I can describe the niche that I love working with is "lost souls" who want to be found.

This spans across different ages, genders, life circumstances, etc.

When someone sits on my couch and tells me they feel lost,

I know we are exactly where we need to be

to start finding your missing parts.

Using myself as a tether to stay grounded, we get to go on a

journey together to see what's lost in you, where did you go,
when did things change, and how do we find you again?

Being lost together is far better than being lost alone.
Attachment and attunement to people is my biggest strength.

My favorite part of the work is when we can tackle the hard things together and be partners along the way.

My Therapeutic Approach

I really enjoy integrating Parts Work (IFS) into my sessions.
I have found that it's the easiest way for clients to learn therapeutic
language that allows them to start relating to themselves differently.

This helps us access change, gain understanding,
and find compassion for ourselves.

Parts Work honors the many "parts" that are inside of you
that can have you feeling pulled in different directions,

experiencing several emotions at once,

or wondering "why am I not feeling like myself all the time?"

Using a framework that's already so familiar really benefits

how we can work on deeper components of your life.
We just expand on our understanding of this process and

use it as a door to get further into the mind and the soul.

I also use EMDR (sparingly) for those who are wanting more somatic, trauma processing type work.
I say sparingly, because I'm really passionate about
making sure that it's the right fit.

I'm not here to use EMDR like snake oil and claim
that it's made for absolutely everyone out there.
It's delicate and challenging work that I enjoy utilizing. Please feel free to ask more about it if you have questions.

With these things in mind, my clients typically can last longer in therapy

because we are not burning out with hyper-focused sessions that leave you feeling drained.

I want my clients to feel like therapy is doable, and hopefully enjoyable.
We already cover very difficult things in session and it’s my preference
to make sure clients have as soft of a landing as I can offer.
