Frequently Asked Questions!
Where is your office located?
Known Therapy House: 720 Sunrise Blvd. Suite D212, Roseville, CA 95667
How often do you recommend we have sessions?
I prefer to see people weekly. If other arrangements are needed due to financial or scheduling conflicts,
we will discuss our options. I am flexible! Regularly scheduled therapy with frequent, weekly contact is most conducive to therapeutic growth and positive results.
What happens if I want to lessen my session frequency?
If you would like to lessen your session frequency, please don't hesitate to bring it up to me. It is common to lessen frequency over time to every other week or on a "maintenance" basis.*
*Maintenance would be determined on a case-by-case basis based on the needs of each individual client.
What does being an "Associate Marriage and Family Therapist" mean?
Being an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) means that I have graduated from my master's program and that I am currently under supervision of licensed therapists while I gain hours towards licensure.
-------------
In California, you have to gain 3000 hours and be approved by the state in order to be eligible to take the licensure exam. Once I finish my hours, get them approved, and pass my licensure exam, I will update my credentials and work towards opening my private practice. That will come with slightly different policies, different payment & insurance info, and a different office location. To be determined! All clients under my care during this transition will be told about the changes and we will work out what works best and is most clinically appropriate for how to move forward.
